Laurie is a native Floridian. She has one daughter and two grandsons, a retired husband, and four ridiculously cute fur babies. She recently returned to Florida after spending 15 years in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she accepted a position to be closer to her parents and her husband’s parents.

After a life-changing event, Laurie made the decision to switch career paths and began working as a senior housing counselor.

“I wanted to be in a field where I felt that I could make a difference,” she says.

Laurie found her niche, and she currently has over 29 years of experience marketing and managing independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities.

“I really love my job. The residents are amazing, and the staff go out of their way to make Grand Oaks an incredibly special home,” she says.

In her spare time, Laurie enjoys gardening, shopping, biking, boating, fishing, going to the beach, and taking rides in her antique convertible.
